All About Microblading

Microblading is a cosmetic treatment that involves filling in sparse spaces in your eyebrows with tatoo. It is done using a pen-like tool with very fine tip that holds the needle used to apply the pigments simulating the actual hairs on your brows.

The style and shape of your brows will be determined during a consultation with our team at The Beauty Academy. Once you have finally decided, the microblader will then draw the thickness and shape you want in each of your hair, strand by strand. Depending on your brow preference, it may take more than an hour to finish. What you get in the end is a beautiful, natural-looking brows that you will be proud of.

The Candidates For Microblading

While microblading is a great eyebrow treatment, it is not for everyone to enjoy. It’s not recommended for those who have some medical conditions like diabetes, glaucoma, Keloid former, hemophilia, skin diseases on the area of treatment such as psoriasis and eczema. It is not also advisable for pregnant or nursing mothers. What To Expect Before, During, and After Microblading

Since it is a process involving cutting through the skin on your brows, you may feel a bit of pinches just like what you feel with paper cuts. This is pretty normal and you can tolerate it very likely as what most of our clients do. While microblading is like tattooing, the pigment is not as deep as the regular tattoo since it’semi-permanent. It means the color fades within a month to reveal a more natural look of your microbladed brows.

You will need touch-ups every year to maintain optima results of microblading. A touch-up is recommended about 4-6 weeks after your first treatment. The artist will fill in any missing hairs or make your brows longer or darker in color. Our staff will give you the aftercare protocols how to properly take good care of your brand new eyebrows. There are some do’s and don’ts that you have to strictly follow if you want the result to last longer. With proper aftercare, the effect can last up to three years long.

The Microblading Healing Process

During the healing cycle, your fresh 3D eyebrows will go through different phases. You will see the true color of your microbladed brows once it healed completely which can be determined about 3-4 weeks after the procedure. The color will go from so much darker, to very light, and finally end up just right, the way you want it exactly to be.

Do not be bothered if you see that some pigments are flaking off like dandruff. This is just a normal process that your healing brows will undergo. The color of the pigment will soften gradually as the superficial color and your dry skin are naturally removed.

Expect within 5-12 days that your eyebrows will be in the lightest tones as the color is being absorbed deeper into your skin. Days later, the pigment will be pushed back to the upper layers of your skin.
